InfraGard is an organization that is building a Trust Relationship between those individuals who are involved in protecting our nation's Critical Infrastructures, and the FBI.

The Birmingham InfraGard Chapter is a partnership between the Birmingham FBI Field Office's InfraGard Program, and the Birmingham InfraGard Members Alliance. Our members work in banks, universities, utility companies, hospitals, and other companies that make up the Critical Infrastructure of our nation. By participating in InfraGard, they develop relationships with the FBI, Homeland Security, and local law enforcement, as well as relationships with their peers in other companies. These relationships are the key to Trust, and Trust is the key to Information Sharing. Through Information Sharing, we hope to better protect our Nation's Critical Infrastructures, and to better secure the resources of our member's companies.

The First level of activity with the Birmingham InfraGard chapter is as a PARTICIPANT.

As a participant in InfraGard, you are welcome to participate on our public mailing list and attend our open monthly meetings. You will *NOT* receive broadcast alerts from the National Infrastructure Protection Center, and you will *NOT* receive sensitive information. Information is for sharing, and we will be glad to help you protect the resources of your company any way we can.

To receive the maximum value though, we encourage you to become a MEMBER of InfraGard. All members have a background check completed by the FBI. As a member, in addition to participating on our local email discussion lists, you may join many national mailing lists to talk about issues with vetted members around the country. You will have access to the VPN-protected secure members website, and you will receive communications from the FBI which are only distributed to Secure Members. You will also be eligible to receive discounts for educational opportunities and products that are offered to members.

The main FBI website had a recent article about how InfraGard members help to Safeguard Critical Infrastructures.

You are invited to contact Special Agent Mike Mauldin to learn more about the Secure Membership and to submit your completed application:
