When:

December 14, 2004 8:30-11:00AM

Where:

Federal Reserve Bank
Hosted by Dennis Blass

Agenda:

This meeting was a special "working meeting" to help organize some activities of the chapter.

At the meeting, four proejcts were introduced, and members were asked to assist on a project that best met their interests and skills.

Incorporation

Project leader: Angella Truelove

The incorporation project will help us come into compliance with national guidelines for "InfraGard Members Alliance" status. Each InfraGard chapter is composed of an InfraGard Members Alliance (the people working in the Critical Infrastructures) and an FBI Field Office InfraGard Program. At the InfraGard National Congress last year this structure was explained, and each chapter was asked to incorporate an "IMA" and to file for 501(c)3 status.

This Project team will be working on ByLaws for the Birmingham InfraGard Members Alliance, incorporating the IMA, and filing for a 501(c)3 exemption under the "umbrella" of the InfraGard National Members Alliance.

Program Topics

Project leader: Todd Bailey

The program topics project will be helping to make our meetings more meaningful to our membership by setting a calendar for meetings for the next year, so that we can work together to find speakers for those topics, and plan our meeting attendance. Perhaps the April topic would be especially helpful to a colleague of yours, or perhaps you have special expertise that might be useful for the August meeting topic.

Education

Project leaders: Eric Salveggio and Gary Warner

The education project team will be working on ways InfraGard can help educate our community, our members, and our member companies. Topics may range from Infrastructure protection topics for corporate security staffs, to small business and home computer security.

Recruitment/Development

Project leader: John Wortham

InfraGard is an organization that is building a Trust Relationship between those individuals who are involved in protecting our nation's Critical Infrastructures, and the FBI. This project will be working to identify local companies and institutions that have responsibility or involvement in Critical Infrastructure Protection, but who do not yet have a presence within InfraGard.
